Shoots and Leaves Case Study

City Steps

Cracked black bitumen seemingly sliding off the steps and an unstable wall in a brick that didn’t match the house meant it was time to transform the front of this Fulham town house. The bitumen was taken off and new 50mm York stone steps, bull-nosed to both the front and left side edges were put down with matching risers and a waterproof membrane beneath.

New railings set above a dwarf wall with matching York stone coping completed the effect and the basement was similarly paved over using 38mm York stone slabs.
